Ich benutze den Clicker sehr gerne, um mit den Hunden Tricks einzuüben oder Kopfarbeit zu betreiben. Dieses Video geht schon stark in Richtung Kopfarbeit. Der Hund muss in dieser Übung selbst lernen Gegenstände zu erkennen und zuordnen zu können. Angefangen haben wir die Übung natürlich klein und mit nur einem Gegenstand und haben uns dann nach und nach „erweitert“. Sam hat über die Methode „Versuch und Irrtum“ und über den Clicker diese Übung gelernt. Immer wenn er einen Gegenstand richtig zuordnen konnte, gab es seinen ersehnten Click und somit das versprochene Futter. Wurde der erkannte Gegenstand falsch von dem Hund zugeordnet gab es keinen Click, sondern ein „Schade“ und natürlich kein Leckerlie. Das „Schade“ nutze ich sehr gerne, um dem Hund ein kurzes Feedback zu geben, dass das aktuelle Verhalten leider nicht das richtige Verhalten war. Dass er mir einen Gegenstand anzeigen darf, signalisiere ich ihm mit einem „Wo ist das?“ So kann die Übung nach und nach immer mehr ausgebaut werden. Natürlich sollte dein Hund bereits an den Clicker gewöhnt sein und besonders wichtig ist, dass ihm solche Übungen auch Spaß machen. Diese Übungen eignen sich besonders gut für daheim und natürlich für regnerische Tage. Zudem braucht man kein teures Equipment, sondern nur jeweils gleiche Gegenstände aus dem Haushalt.
